What is Squarespace?
Squarespace is a platform to create web pages that you can easily manage on your own because it does not require programming knowledge. In addition, they take care of all the boring things (security, maintenance, updates, etc.) while you take care of your business running.
Like any platform, it is not designed for absolutely all types of projects, but it works for most of my clients.
This platform is quite popular in the United States and other English-speaking countries. But this year 2018 they are entering the Spanish-speaking market so you will surely start to hear more from them.
ONE OF THE THINGS I LOVE THE MOST IS ITS DESIGN
Squarespace pays a lot of attention to design (as we all should) and this helps to sell more and is more pleasant for the user. They are extremely minimalist and simple, making their entire interface super clear .
To make things easier for us, they have many very well designed templates that we can use to make our websites. These templates are created by them to make sure they work properly and look good on mobile. Each template has different functionalities (my favorite is Brine) that will allow you to do one thing or another.
It is very easy to design your own website because they use the “drag and drop” system in which you have a series of blocks like the ones in the image that will allow you to easily add content.
Apart from the templates, we can create our own design using the functionalities of the templates but creating a new design (this is what I do for my clients).
If you also want to create something additional that the template cannot do, there is a developer mode that when activated allows you to access all the files that make up your website. Be careful, this is only for people who have knowledge of web codes.
Within the templates it is very easy to change fonts, colors, sizes , etc. Which is very practical and it is also all in one place.
ANOTHER THING I LOVE IS HOW EASY IT IS TO CHANGE THE CONTENT
Its interface has been developed to make it super easy for us to change the content of our website. This is especially useful for people who have no knowledge of web design or layout. It allows them to modify texts or images without breaking the design.
BESIDES THIS, IT ADAPTS TO MOBILES VERY WELL.
As you can know, many of the users who visit the webs today come from mobile phones. It is essential that our website works well on these devices. With Squarespace this is done automatically so we do not have to break our minds trying to make it work on mobile phones.

If at any time you want to start selling a product or service, whether physical or delivered digitally, you can activate ecommerce in a few minutes (from the “Business” plan). They currently offer two methods of receiving payments that are quite popular: Stripe and Paypal .
THE SUPPORT THEY OFFER IS FAST
Sometimes issues have come up that I have had to resort to asking them directly. They have an online chat that works at certain times in which they respond to you at the moment. Apart from that, they attend you by email and they do not take more than 1 day to respond to your request. On all occasions they have helped me resolve my issues.
THEY ARE IN CHARGE OF UPDATING THEIR SYSTEM AND THE SECURITY OF YOUR SITE
The update thing takes a load off me because I don’t have to worry about everything being updated to work well (as on other platforms). They also take care of the security of your site to prevent hackers from entering and doing things that you do not want with your website (always remember to have a strong password for your website).
